Here's a quick example to show you how much money you can easily make (using VERY conservative numbers) with a few hours of “work” as a Scentsy consultant.

Let's say you throw 4 parties in your first month (one each week), with 10 people at each of the parties. Suppose the average guest buys $50 worth of products (which is very realistic). As a consultant, you earn a 25% commission on all sales. So just from those first 4 parties, you'll make $500 in commissions (4 parties x 10 guests per party x $50 per guest x 25% commission). $500 of profit from the 4 parties is pretty impressive, especially when you consider that you will probably only “work” - or party – around 15 hours to make that much money.

But orders placed at the party are only the beginning! Almost everyone who tries Scentsy falls in love with it and orders more, and everyone who bought from you at the party will continue to buy through you. Let's be conservative and suppose that, of those 40 original party guests, only 20 purchase more Scentsy products during the next year. Suppose that each places another $50 order. Your commission will be $250 (20 customers x $50 per customer x 25% commission). And remember, aside from sending in a few orders now and again, you don't have to do anything to earn these commissions. All the “work” was already done months ago. And the following year, they'll continue to make orders. That's the best part about selling a product that everyone loves... most of your business comes from repeat customers.

So to recap, with about 15 hours of “work” throwing 4 parties, you made $750 in commissions. That equates to $50 per hour. Not too bad for a home-based business that gives you unmatched flexibility... and is fun!
