Q. How long will do Scentsy fragrance bars last?
A. Scentsy fragrance bars last a minimum of 50 to 80 hours, oftentimes much longer depending on the strength of the fragrance and how strong you personally like the aroma to be. Open Windows, humidifiers, and house fans may affect how long the scents last.
Q. What kind of light bulbs do Scentsy candle warmers use, and where can I get replacement bulbs?
A. Full-size candle warmers use a 25-watt bulb, mid-size candle warmers use a 20-watt bulb, and plug-in warmers use a 15-watt bulb. The replacement bulbs can be kind of tough to find in stores, but you can buy replacement bulbs here for $1 each.
Q. Can Scentsy fragrance bars be used in a non-Scentsy warmer?
A. Yes, but we don't recommend it. Scentsy candle warmers are made specially for Scentsy fragrance bars and warm the candle wax to exactly the right temperature to release the scent into the air actually burning the wax and releasing the chemicals. This is one reason Scentsy warmers and fragrance bars are much safer then regular candles.

Q. What type of wax and oil are used in Scentsy fragrance bars?
A. Scentsy uses a food-grade petroleum-based wax (the same type of wax that is sprayed on apples at the grocery store to give them their shine). Scentsy chose this wax because of its superior scent-loading ability, melting point, and firmness. Scentsy uses key fragrance oil, which is the highest grade of oil before processing.
Unlike traditional wick candles, Scentsy candles are not burned and consumed and do not release chemicals into the air. Scentsy warmers only warm the scent out of the wax; the wax itself is not consumed but remains in the candle warmer. After the fragrance bar loses its scent, you simply throw the wax away.
Q. Do I use a whole fragrance bar at a time?
A. Each Scentsy fragrance bar comes in a clamshell with six break-apart cubes. Choose your favorite candle bar scent, break off just 1-3 cubes, place them into your candle warmer, and turn it on. Enjoy!

Another note: Since the fragrance bars can be re-used time and time again, make sure to keep tabs on which cubes have been used the longest. Of course, you can always just go by the potency of the scent, too! :-)
Q. How hot does the wax get?
A. Thanks to the low-wattage bulbs Scentsy warmers use, the wax barely gets above body temperature, never hot enough to burn you. This is another reason Scentsy candles are so safe!
Q. How do I clean the wax out of the warmer?
A. While the wax is still warm, pour it back into the original clam-shell packaging or another disposable container, and then simply wipe the warmer top out with a paper towel. It takes a grand total of about 30 seconds!
If you're ready to throw the wax away, turn the warmer off to let the wax cool down or put the warmer lid in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to speed things along. When the wax is cooled, you can easily remove the hardened wax and dispose of it.

Q. How much is shipping?
A. Shipping for direct orders placed at our authorized Scentsy Store is 10% of the base product cost (20% for orders to Alaska or Hawaii). If you go to a local Scentsy party and place an order, shipping is FREE (as long as total purchases are $150 or more, which they almost always are).
Q. How long for delivery?
A. Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for delivery, although it is sometimes faster.
Q. Does Scentsy ship to APOs and FPOs?
A. Presently, Scentsy does not ship to APOs or FPOs since UPS (the carrier Scentsy uses) does not deliver to them.
